Can i get the money back from probate?

I was given some money from my dad before he died, when he died, i was forced by my half brother into believing that i was supposed to put it back into his estate to share between everyone, anyway now i have found out that he gave my brother the same gift, but he is keeping it, is it possible to claim back the money after i have given it towards the estate?
