Is this weird? I am really likin this girl and i dont think its normal?

Ok here it is there is this girl im 18 she is 19, I added her on myspace a while back and she wrote me on new years eve askin if i wanted to hang out i didnt get it until the next day.. i wrote back and said " hey sorry i didnt get your message we can chill another time heres my number 904-000-0000 hollar at me sometime" she texted me later that day since then we have been tryin to make plans to meet but havent yet oh btw she does live in the same town as me like right down the road... but i have been talkin to this girl everyday and i am startin to like her alot.. so the question is do yall think you can start to like someone just from talkin on the phone and texting if yall have never actually met in person? i havent ever caught interest in a girl unless i have met her this is crazy to me. plz help.. and she told me she is feelin the same way
