What car is good for a person driving to and from school and around town?

Maybe a near-luxury car? I'm thinking about getting an Acura TL. I've heard they are great cars. At first I was thinking Lexus, then Infiniti, and now Acura. I've heard the cars have excellent safety features for luxury cars. Would you suggest this or another car that's a Honda/Nissan? I'd choose the TSX, but I need to find one close to Zionsville/West Carmel/Indianapolis. I already know about Honda West. Are there any other close Honda Dealerships or dealerships that may have Acura vehicles?
